What's the difference between Basic and Dedicated?
Basic uses shared infrastructure — you get a *.homegate.sh subdomain and shared bandwidth, perfect for getting started. Dedicated gives you your own IPv4 + IPv6 address, full domain support (apex + subdomains), and 1 Gbps with 5 TB of included bandwidth.
What is the Custom plan?
The Custom plan lets you pick a server from our EU fleet and configure the CPU, RAM, and bandwidth to your needs — all from the dashboard. Great for heavy workloads or multiple services.
Is there a bandwidth limit?
Basic includes generous shared bandwidth — plenty for typical self-hosting use. Dedicated includes 1 Gbps with 5 TB of metered bandwidth. Custom plans offer up to 70 TB depending on your server choice.
Can I stream video through HomeGate?
Yes. Unlike Cloudflare Tunnels, HomeGate has no restrictions on video, photos, or large files. Stream from Jellyfin, Plex, or any media server.
What happens if I cancel?
Your service stays active until the end of your billing period. After that, the proxy stops and your subdomain is released. Reactivate anytime.
Where are the servers located?
All HomeGate servers are hosted in the EU, ensuring your traffic stays within European data residency regulations.
